July was quite an eventful month for the Day Care, and the highlight of the month came in the form of the Boeing Corporate Office hosting some of the kids from Day Care for a fun-filled day.

26 patients aged between 10 and 23 years were treated to cake and goodies, all part of celebrating hundred years of Boeing. Over there, the children were informed and taught about the work Boeing does; in the words of Praveena Yagnambhat, the kids were “‘curious, enthusiastic, intelligent and lovable”.
The team at Boeing also were curious about these lovable children and their cancer. With volunteer Komal’s regular workshops on expression of emotion and development of tools to deal with them, the children ably fielded questions on the emotional impact of cancer.
